Position Overview The Front Desk / Concierge Agent is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience from arrival through departure. This role combines traditional front desk responsibilities with personalized concierge service and requires someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet, welcome, and register guests while providing prompt, polished, and personalized service. Manage seamless check-ins and check-outs and assist with pre-arrival planning and special requests. Anticipate guest needs and recognize VIPs, repeat guests, special occasions, and individual preferences. Serve as a knowledgeable Charleston ambassador , providing recommendations for restaurants, attractions, events, shopping, and local experiences. Assist guests with restaurant reservations, transportation, tours, tickets, and other concierge arrangements. Resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and ownership. Promote hotel services, amenities, and experiences while identifying appropriate upselling opportunities . Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information about the hotel and Charleston. Process payments, balance shift banks, and complete required front desk procedures and reports. Maintain guest privacy and follow hotel policies regarding key control, credit, billing, and security. Communicate closely with Housekeeping, Bell/Valet, Food & Beverage, Sales, and leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience. Embrace and actively demonstrate our B.O.B. (Be Our Best) service philosophy. Participate in training, departmental meetings, and special projects as needed. Knowledge of Charleston and enthusiasm for sharing the city with our guests. Professional appearance and a commitment to luxury service standards. Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a SCDOR Alcohol certification.

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
