Job Description
Position Summary The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences throughout every stage of the guest journey, from arrival to departure. As the first and last point of contact for guests, this role plays a critical part in shaping the overall guest experience and ensuring each stay reflects the Forbes Four-Star standards and luxury service culture of The Inn & Club at Harbour Town. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, professional, and passionate about hospitality, with the ability to anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns with confidence, and create personalized experiences that exceed expectations. This position requires outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor. Front Desk Agents are expected to build meaningful relationships with guests, provide knowledgeable recommendations about resort amenities and local attractions, and serve as ambassadors of The Inn & Club at Harbour Town. They must be committed to delivering service excellence, fostering guest loyalty, and contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment. Prior guest relations, front desk, hotel, resort, or customer service experience is required. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to provide exceptional service, handle guest concerns effectively, and create a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression on every guest. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure. Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Provide information regarding resort amenities, dining options, activities, and local attractions. Handle guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations with professionalism and urgency. Process reservations, room changes, and billing transactions accurately. Maintain guest confidentiality and protect sensitive information. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor room availability and communicate occupancy updates as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Adhere to Forbes Travel Guide standards and company service expectations. Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
