Job Description
We are looking to build our team and would love to have you be part of it. We are currently looking to fill part-time 3pm to 11pm shift. Flexibility is a plus! Weekends are required. The front desk clerk's main responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction. The front desk clerk is also responsible for maximizing room revenues, in line with Venerts Hotel Management Inc.'s standards, by providing efficient and courteous front desk service. _____________________________________________________________________________ Essential Functions 1. Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction. 2. Registers and processes guests promptly upon arrival and departure. 3. Performs all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures to ensure all guest and house accounts are complete and accurate. 4. Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area, and effectively assists guests. 5. Adheres to all established credit and inventory control procedures to minimize exposure to loss of revenue. 6. Demonstrates the use of sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate. 7. Receives and processes telephone and walk-in reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction. 8. Professionally and competently operates the telephone system according to Venerts Hotel Management Inc.'s standards. 9. Acts as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. 10. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests. 11. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken. 12.
