Job Description

Primary Job Duties:
Check in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names whenever possible to personalize the experience. Assure that guests are assigned the type of room requested and that the correct rate is charged. Check out guests at the end of their stay, ascertaining satisfaction, collecting keys, posting late charges, and presenting a final bill. Settle bills accurately through credit card or cash transactions. Resolve customer complaints and handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. Accommodate special requests whenever possible and assist customers with inquiries related to resort services, hours of operation, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner, both in person and by phone. Maintain a balanced cash bank assigned by the hotel, making change, cashing checks, and managing the cash drop procedure, as well as addressing any billing matters. Reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift. Utilize a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports, and select and block rooms for arriving guests. Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations efficiently. Answer all guest calls and questions via email or phone promptly. Assist with the responsibilities and duties of the Concierge and Guest Experience Services to enhance the overall guest experience. Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role in the hospitality industry is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests and resolve issues effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs. Familiarity with hotel management software and computer systems is a plus. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
