Job Description

As the first point of contact, you are the face of our hotel. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest service from arrival to departure, ensuring every traveler feels the warmth of Texas hospitality. This role requires a blend of administrative efficiency and a "guest-first" mindset to maintain our high brand standards.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Registration:
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Reservations & Revenue:
Manage phone and online reservations using hotel management systems. Utilize up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize revenue.
Financial Accuracy:
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, prepare daily deposits, and balance your cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Problem Resolution:
Respond quickly and courteously to guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
Communication & Logistics:
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and resolve any maintenance requests promptly.
Operational Support:
Maintain a clean and organized lobby and front desk area. Occasionally assist with replenishing continental breakfast items or light laundry duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience:
Previous customer service experience is required; hospitality experience is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with hotel reservation software (e.g., Opera PMS) is highly preferred.
Availability:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (entire shift). Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
