Job Description
Job Summary The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service from arrival to departure. This includes managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations and inquiries, and ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all guests. The agent must be knowledgeable about hotel services and amenities, as well as local attractions, to assist guests effectively.
Key Responsibilities Guest Services:
Warmly greet guests and provide a welcoming and professional first impression. Efficiently perform all check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying guest information, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, handling inquiries, reservations, and cancellations. Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and effective manner, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Provide accurate information about the hotel's facilities, services, and policies, including rates, room types, and amenities. Offer recommendations for local attractions, dining, and transportation.Administrative and Financial Tasks:
Process payments for room charges and other services, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment. Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and guest information. Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping, maintenance, and security, to address guest needs and ensure a smooth operation. Manage and prioritize tasks, such as accepting and delivering messages, arranging wake-up calls, and handling mail and packages.General Duties:
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front desk and lobby area. Stay informed about current hotel promotions, packages, and special events. Follow all security and safety procedures, including key control and emergency protocols. Perform various clerical tasks as needed, such as filing and data entry.Skills and Qualifications Required Skills:
Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency with computer systems, including hotel reservation software (Property Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. A friendly, personable, and professional demeanor.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Knowledge of local attractions and the surrounding area. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (e.g., luggage).Pay:
