Embassy Suites La Quinta Hotel & Spa is a full‑service, 146‑suite property featuring 10 luxury casitas, a full Food & Beverage operation, on site spa services, and extensive guest amenities. As an evening operations leader, the Night Manager ensures smooth, safe, and efficient hotel performance across all departments during evening and overnight hours. Position Summary The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during evening and overnight shifts, when needed, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational continuity, and adherence to brand standards. This role supports and collaborates with all departments—including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Security, and Engineering—to maintain a seamless guest experience and address any issues that arise after daytime leadership has departed. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Front Office Support Serve as the Manager on Duty during evening and overnight hours, when needed. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty. Support the Front Desk team with check ins, check outs, Hilton Honors service delivery, and cash/credit handling procedures. Monitor lobby, public areas, and guest interactions to uphold Embassy Suites service standards. Food & Beverage & Culinary Support Assist F&B and Culinary teams during peak evening periods, including restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service operations. Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and service standards. Provide leadership support during unexpected volume, staffing shortages, or guest service escalations. Housekeeping & Public Area Oversight Coordinate with Housekeeping leadership to address room status issues, late night requests, and cleanliness concerns. Ensure public spaces remain clean, safe, and guest‑ready throughout the night. Support linen, supply, and amenity needs as required. Security & Safety Oversee property security, including guest safety, incident response, and emergency procedures. Conduct property walks, monitor access points, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Document and report all incidents, disturbances, or safety hazards. Engineering Support Respond to basic maintenance requests and coordinate with Engineering for urgent issues. Ensure equipment, lighting, HVAC, and building systems are functioning properly during evening and overnight hours, if needed. Log and communicate maintenance needs for follow up by the Engineering team. Leadership & Communication Provide direction, coaching, and support to evening and overnight staff across all departments. Maintain clear communication with department heads and the General Manager regarding evening and overnight activity, guest issues, and operational needs. Complete nightly reports, audits, and hand off notes to ensure continuity between shifts. What We're Looking For Previous hotel supervisory or management experience required ; Hilton/Embassy Suites experience preferred. High school diploma or GED Working knowledge of Front Office systems (OnQ preferred), F&B operations, and basic maintenance troubleshooting. Knowledge of Hilton systems (OnQ, Micros) strongly preferred Ability to remain calm and effective in high‑pressure or emergency situations. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Availability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
