Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Hotel Manager to lead the daily operations of our hotel. This is an on-site live-in position, and the Manager is expected to be actively involved in the daily operation of the property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven ability to drive guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and team performance. The Manager will oversee all hotel operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and local regulations. Monitor room inventory, occupancy, rates, and revenue performance. Conduct daily property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. Guest Services Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. Respond to guest emergencies and after-hours issues as needed. Staff Management Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate hotel team members. Create employee schedules and manage labor costs. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development. Foster a positive and productive work environment. Financial Management Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Monitor cash handling procedures, deposits, and financial reporting. Review daily revenue reports and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Manage accounts payable, purchasing, and inventory controls. Property Maintenance & Safety Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair projects. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations. Work closely with vendors and contractors to maintain property standards. Respond to property emergencies and operational issues. Sales & Community Relations Support local sales efforts and community outreach initiatives. Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and travel partners. Assist with marketing initiatives designed to increase occupancy and revenue. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of hotel management, assistant manager, or hospitality leadership experience preferred. Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills. Experience supervising employees and managing daily operations. Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred (SynXis/Aven preferred). Basic understanding of budgeting, reporting, and revenue management. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a hotel manager, resident manager, or assistant general manager. Experience in economy, limited-service, or franchised hotel operations. Maintenance or facilities management experience is a plus. Bilingual skills are beneficial but not required. Benefits On-site manager apartment provided. Competitive salary.
