Manager or High-Level Supervisor Marche Restaurant | Ross, Marin County Marche is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager or High-Level Host/Supervisor to lead the front-of-house at a long-time Marin local favorite restaurant in quaint, downtown Ross. This leadership role offers an opportunity to help guide and shape an established restaurant into the next era of success. The General Manager will oversee all front-of-house operations, lead and develop the service team, and work closely with ownership and the culinary team to ensure operational excellence. We are seeking a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires teams, and understands how to deliver exceptional hospitality while maintaining strong financial performance. The ideal candidate has worked in Marin County and brings experience in both casual and upscale dining environments, along with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality. Familiarity with the Marin County dining and hospitality community, as well as experience with special events, marketing initiatives, and community engagement, is highly valued. About Marche Located in the heart of the Ross Valley in Central Marin, Marche was founded in 2001 and has long been considered a local-favorite in the Marin dining scene. Named for the farmers' markets, the menu is designed to showcase California's seasonal bounty in a farm-to-table concept. A large outdoor patio seats about 40 and is a draw for many, as is the intimate and cozy dining room which seats an additional 45 guests. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences Lead, mentor, and develop the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture Hire, train, evaluate, and coach staff while maintaining strong team retention Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure efficient service and labor management Collaborate closely with the culinary team to maintain strong service flow and communication Manage labor, operational costs, and financial performance to support profitability goals Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Maintain high standards of hospitality, service quality, and guest satisfaction Address guest feedback and concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly Oversee cash handling procedures and financial controls Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all front-of-house areas Assist with planning and execution of special events and private functions Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a High-Level Host/Supervisor or Manager in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment Experience in upscale or chef-driven dining concepts strongly preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software Certifications & Requirements ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required for alcohol service Knowledge of local health department regulations and food safety standards Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Work Environment Full-time, on-property leadership role Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
