We're seeking an experienced Resort Manager to lead two resort locations in Milford, DE and Easton, Maryland . Since 2011 we have been leading the way in care for pets and their people at our award winning resorts! This role oversees resort operations and retail pet boutique performance, including social media management, local marketing, and event creation . The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands hospitality, retail sales, and brand presence—and loves connecting with both pets and people. Key Responsibilities, Operations & Leadership Lead and oversee daily operations across two resort locations Ensure the highest standards of pet safety, cleanliness, and care Manage staffing levels, scheduling, payroll, and labor budgets Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and, when necessary, terminate team members Train and develop Assistant Managers and team members Conduct performance reviews and provide consistent feedback Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and reporting standards Coordinate with maintenance teams to address facility needs Communicate effectively with regional leadership and corporate partners Customer Experience & Sales Maintain excellent customer satisfaction metrics, including NPS and online reviews Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy Analyze financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth Drive revenue across boarding, daycare, grooming and retail. Retail Pet Boutique Management Oversee retail pet boutique operations at both locations Manage inventory, merchandising, pricing, and vendor relationships Develop and execute retail sales strategies to increase average ticket and repeat visits Train staff on product knowledge and retail sales best practices Marketing, Social Media & Events Manage social media presence for both locations (posting, engagement, messaging, reviews) Create and execute daily and weekly marketing initiatives for services and retail Plan and host in-resort and community events (adoption events, themed days, promotions) Partner with local businesses, shelters, and community organizations Monitor performance of promotions and adjust strategies as needed Schedule & Availability Maintain a 5-day onsite work week (our team is there 7 days a week) Work onsite weekends and holidays as business needs require Mainly based in Milford but able to Travel between locations as needed Qualifications 3-5 years of Pet Resort management experience leading teams of 20+ employees Multi-unit or multi-department leadership experience preferred Experience with retail management, merchandising, and sales Experience managing social media or local marketing for a business Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills Financial acumen with experience managing labor and operating budgets Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and lifting up to 60 lbs Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Education & Experience Associate's degree or equivalent experience required Background in hospitality, retail, restaurant, or pet care management preferred Previous animal care experience strongly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, POS, and basic marketing tools Benefits & Perks $1 Daycare - bring your dog to work! 30 days of complimentary pet boarding (non-holidays) Discounts on grooming and Retail Paid time off Health Insurance Options Retirement and Savings Options Why Fur Baby Pet Resort?
