Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our vibrant hospitality team. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll lead the front office team and be visible with guests every day, including covering shifts at the desk. On top of that, you'll run the hotel's local sales effort and act as second in command to the General Manager. If you're a front desk supervisor or lead ready for more responsibility, this is a clear step up with room to grow into a GM role within the growing ownership group. What you'll do Front office and guest experience Lead the front desk team: scheduling, training, coaching, and day-to-day direction Work scheduled shifts at the front desk, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays Own guest recovery and escalations, and follow up so issues are actually closed out Drive guest satisfaction and review scores, and lead corrective actions when gaps appear Manage the loyalty program experience, arrivals for VIPs and groups, and daily arrival prep Sales and revenue Build and work a local account base: corporate, project and crew business, government, sports, SMERF, and extended stay Conduct outside sales calls and site tours; keep an active account tracker current Prepare group blocks and negotiated corporate rate agreements with the General Manager Operations support Serve as manager on duty on a rotating basis Coordinate daily with housekeeping, breakfast, and maintenance Assist with ordering and expense control against budget Support brand standards, safety, and compliance requirements What we're looking for 1+ years in a hotel front desk supervisor, lead, or management role Genuine interest in the sales side of the business; direct sales experience is a plus but we'll train the right person Comfortable being on the floor with guests and stepping in wherever the shift needs it Strong communication and follow-through Working knowledge of a hotel property management system Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires Valid driver's license, as the role includes outside sales calls in the local market Authorized to work in the United States Benefits Paid time off Employee and friends-and-family room rate discounts at hotels worldwide Performance incentive tied to revenue and quality goals Physical requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
