Assistant General Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead operations across our growing hospitality portfolio. This position offers significant growth potential as our hospitality portfolio expands. Working closely with the General Manager and ownership, the AGM will help drive operational performance, team development, guest satisfaction, revenue, profitability, and property standards. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-focused leader who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and working across departments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across one or more properties, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and guest services. Act on behalf of the General Manager when needed, ensuring continuity of operations and effective decision-making. Lead, coach, and develop employees while maintaining appropriate staffing and performance standards. Drive occupancy, revenue, profitability, and overall property performance through effective management of rates, expenses, and budgets. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, service, and property condition. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while fostering a culture of exceptional hospitality. Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and implement improvements where appropriate. Work with ownership, management, and department leaders to establish and execute operational goals. Coordinate resort activities, events, promotions, and special guest experiences. Support sales and marketing initiatives to attract new guests and encourage repeat business. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices, safety standards, and applicable regulations. Qualifications 3+ years of hotel or resort management experience; prior AGM or department-head experience preferred. Proven ability to lead teams and achieve operational and financial goals. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of PMS systems, revenue management tools, and hospitality reporting. Food and beverage experience preferred. Multi-property and/or pre-opening experience preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and travel between properties as needed. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Preferred Experience Independent, boutique, resort, and/or branded hotels. Budgeting and P&L management. OTAs and online reputation management. Hospitality technology implementation, migration, and integrations.
