Job Description
Hotel General Manager Job Description A hotel general manager directs all property operations, balancing guest satisfaction with financial profitability. They manage and oversee all departments like the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food service, while reporting to ownership and above property leadership while maintaining brand quality guidelines.
Core Responsibilities Operations Oversight :
Coordinate daily activities across all departments to ensure smooth service.
Financial Management :
Oversee all aspects of labor control, manage P&L, control costs, and drive revenue. Proper reporting of all revenue, keep clean and accurate AR and AP accounts.
Staff Leadership :
Train, mentor, and review department managers and staff.
Guest Relations :
Inspect property conditions, build action plans, maintain brand standards, and resolve escalated guest complaints.
Safety & Compliance :
Ensure the property meets all local health, safety, and security laws.
Brand Compliance :
Maintain all brand reporting, track, maintain and improve guest satisfaction metrics. Ensure all staff follow all policies and procedures.
Hotel Operations :
Maintain and improve all hotel operations, including all staff, property and guest relations. Leading the hotel by example, produce year over year positive gains both in brand metrics and hotel profitability.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience :
3 to 5 years of progressive hospitality management or supervisory experience.
Skills :
Strong financial literacy, multi-tasking abilities, leadership, and customer service orientation.
Work Conditions :
Requires an on-site physical presence with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
