Job Description

Lead a locally owned hotel where your work directly shapes the guest experience and supports the growth of the Eagle Grove community. The Grove Inn and Suites is seeking a motivated, dependable, and guest-focused Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations and help create a clean, welcoming, and well-run property. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, supporting a team, and taking pride in providing excellent service. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day hotel operations, including front desk activity, reservations, guest services, housekeeping coordination, and overall property readiness.
  • Lead, schedule, train, and support team members to promote consistency, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by responding promptly, professionally, and thoughtfully to guest needs, concerns, reviews, and feedback.
  • Monitor reservations, occupancy trends, room rates, and revenue opportunities to help meet business goals and support continued growth.
  • Support marketing efforts, community outreach, and relationship building to increase awareness, strengthen local partnerships, and drive bookings.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and quality throughout guest rooms, common areas, exterior spaces, and back-of-house areas.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs, vendor communication, supply ordering, inventory management, and follow-up on property improvements.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities such as reporting, cash handling oversight, invoice review, recordkeeping, and communication with ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, applicable laws, safety procedures, privacy expectations, and operational standards.
  • Keep ownership informed of staffing needs, guest feedback, maintenance priorities, financial performance, and opportunities to improve the property and guest experience. Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hotel operations, hospitality, property management, customer service, or team supervision is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, communicate expectations, and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain calm under pressure, respond to changing needs, and work independently.
  • Comfort using reservation systems, email, basic office software, online platforms, and guest review tools.
  • Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards for service, cleanliness, and property presentation.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call needs as hotel operations require. What We Offer
