Up to $10,000 annually About the Position Mims Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Hotel Restaurant General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a hotel restaurant in Downtown Chicago. This position is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations, guest service, team performance, financial results, and overall operational standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with strong restaurant leadership experience and the ability to manage a high-volume operation while maintaining an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination Lead, train, schedule, and manage restaurant team members Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and presentation Monitor labor costs, food costs, inventory, and overall restaurant profitability Review sales and operating reports and identify opportunities to improve financial performance Develop and maintain effective operating procedures Manage staffing levels based on business volume and occupancy Work closely with the hotel leadership team to support hotel-wide guest satisfaction Handle guest concerns and ensure timely resolution of service issues Coordinate restaurant, banquet, and special event operations as needed Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulations Build relationships with vendors and manage purchasing and inventory controls Drive restaurant revenue through service standards, upselling, promotions, and local business development Participate in meetings, financial reviews, and operational planning Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of restaurant management experience Hotel restaurant or hospitality management experience strongly preferred Previous experience managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations Strong understanding of restaurant financials, labor costs, food costs, and budgeting Proven leadership and team-management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Ability to lead by example and maintain a visible presence in daily operations Compensation & Benefits $90,000 annual base salary Up to $10,000 performance bonus W-2 permanent employment Opportunity to lead and grow a hotel restaurant operation in Downtown Chicago Additional benefits available based on company eligibility and plan offerings
