Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Job Summary SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn by Marriott in Carmel, Indiana, are seeking an experienced, motivated, and guest-focused Assistant General Manager to help lead our dual-property hotel team. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, developing team members, improving guest satisfaction, and achieving financial and operational goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who can build a positive workplace culture, maintain Marriott standards, and deliver consistent results across both properties. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with daily operations at both hotels Provide leadership and support to front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast teams Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop hotel associates Promote a positive, accountable, and guest-focused workplace culture Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally Ensure Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and service expectations are consistently followed Support efforts to improve guest satisfaction, Marriott Bonvoy recognition, and online review scores Conduct property walks and inspect guest rooms and public areas Monitor labor, expenses, revenue, occupancy, and departmental performance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, payroll, purchasing, and invoice review Review daily operational, financial, and occupancy reports Support revenue-management and sales initiatives to maximize hotel performance Maintain appropriate staffing levels while controlling labor costs Ensure compliance with safety, security, sanitation, and employment requirements Assist with preventive maintenance and property-improvement initiatives Serve as the manager on duty and provide leadership during emergencies Assume responsibility for hotel operations in the General Manager's absence Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Previous hotel-management or supervisory experience is required Dual-property or Marriott experience is strongly preferred Experience supervising multiple hotel departments is preferred Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of hotel operations, financial reporting, and labor management Ability to coach associates and hold team members accountable Comfortable using hotel property-management systems and Microsoft Office Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred but not required Benefits Benefits may include: Competitive salary Marriott Explore employee hotel discounts Paid time off Health, dental, and vision insurance Performance-based bonus opportunities Professional development and advancement opportunities Supportive and team-oriented work environment Additional benefits based on eligibility and employment status Apply Today If you are a hands-on hospitality leader who is passionate about developing people, improving hotel performance, and creating memorable guest experiences, we encourage you to apply.
