The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for building maintenance activities for all hotel equipment and utilities located throughout the hotel facility. This position will undertake repair, replacement and general services to ensure hotel equipment functions safely for guests and employees. This position is responsible for the following functions: Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Replace air conditioner filters. Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests. Maintain standards of quality guest service. Scrupulously adhere to all safety standards. Increase the level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development. Promptly respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: High School education and relevant training and experience preferred. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions. Must know applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations. Must have good mathematical and computer skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills Proficient in project management Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges promptly and efficiently. Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach. Physical activities and requirements of this position: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly Ability to hear average conversations. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, stack, lift, and walk for long periods of time.
