We are a family-owned, growth-oriented company looking for hard-working team members who will provide exceptional dining experiences for our Guests. Join our passionate, friendly, energetic team to help share our delicious Cajun traditions with the people of Gonzales, Louisiana. We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team! Guest Service Managers are responsible for directing the restaurant's daily operations while ensuring that team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and supplies to create positive, memorable Guests interactions. Guest Service Managers oversee all Front-of-House departments and their corresponding procedures, including workforce planning, Full-Cycle recruiting, employee evaluations, supply and liquor orders, and administrative tasks. In addition, Guest Service Managers develop strategies to improve hospitality, motivate team members, drive store sales, and mitigate potential risks. Maintaining high company standards, demonstrating transformational leadership abilities, and fostering a positive environment are crucial in this role. The right person will have exceptional leadership skills, confidently expressing passion for food, hospitality, and exceeding Guests' expectations. In addition, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have an honest, friendly, and outgoing character. Having high energy and an approachable nature, this person will understand the ultimate goal of providing high-quality service to maintain and attract Guests while focusing on developing our Front-of-House team members.
Responsibilities:
Hold the Front-of-House team accountable with service standards, policies and procedures, and uniform and appearance expectations Maintain restaurant staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential hires, conducting performance reviews, as well as organizing training and development opportunities Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the team and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent Complete restaurant operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees to tasks, following up on work results, and providing feeding to the team Responsible for daily deposits and the correct operation of the Point-of-Sale system. Balance all daily and nightly cash drawers and Point-of-Sale systems. Protect employees and Guests by providing a safe and clean restaurant environment Work closely with the Back-of-House manager to provide a smooth experience for our Guests and team members Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and shippers Analyze sales trends and forecast future sales Ensure standards for quality, Guest service, and health and safety are met Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues Respond to customer complaints and comments in a friendly, attentive, and urgent manner Initiate changes to improve the business operations
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of leadership experience Must be able to work night and weekend shifts Proven experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing role in a leadership position Ability to handle money accurately and operate a Point-of-Sale system Excellent communication skills, including great phone etiquette are required Must be professional with a customer-oriented approach Positive interpersonal and administrative skills are required Must be thoroughly attentive to cleanliness and safety Expert in proper food handling techniques and procedures Must be able to thrive under pressure and willing to work long hours Responsible, trustworthy, and friendly character required Strong organization, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills Management Degree and/or ServSafe Certification is a plus but not required
