Job Description
Join our Team! New Bedford Harbor Hotel is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the Leadership team! Our Operations Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations to ensure all our guests receive an exceptional experience while maximizing profitability. This position provides leadership, coaching, and operational support across key departments, including Harbor Hotel Front Desk, Housekeeping, 222 Union Food & Beverage. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, sound business judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of guest service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Assume responsibility for departments as assigned by the General Manager. Provide leadership, support, training, and development to operational staff Mentor, coach, counsel, build teams, and evaluate employee performance to promote a positive and high-performing work environment. Develop and implement incentives, strategies, and training programs to ensure compliance with Lafrance standards. Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of financial daily reports and Profit & Loss statements. Monitor and analyze guest satisfaction scores with staff and management, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance the guest experience. Ensure guest reviews are responded to promptly and professionally. Respond promptly and effectively to guest and employee needs, concerns, and requests. Develop and oversee food and beverage events, including staffing, service execution, and food quality. Ensure compliance with food and beverage standards and procedures. Participate in weekly management meetings and monthly department meetings. Support the onboarding and training of new Supervisors as assigned. Assist with coverage across departments as needed to maintain smooth hotel operations. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Regional Director of Operations (RDO).
