We are seeking an experienced, service-driven General Manager to lead daily operations at our Fairfield Inn & Suites in Clinton, MD . The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel performance, including guest satisfaction, team leadership, financial results, brand standards, sales support, and property operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire teams, drive revenue, control costs, and deliver a welcoming, high-quality guest experience consistent with the Fairfield by Marriott brand. Key Responsibilities Oversee the overall operation of the hotel, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales support, and guest services Lead, coach, and develop department managers and team members to achieve operational excellence Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns or service issues Drive hotel performance by managing revenue, labor, expenses, and profitability Monitor and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, payroll, and operating statements Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, safety requirements, and local/state/federal regulations Maintain strong quality assurance scores and uphold cleanliness, service, and product standards Partner with sales and revenue management to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR Recruit, train, schedule, and retain a high-performing hotel team Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure maintenance, curb appeal, and safety standards are met Build positive relationships with guests, associates, vendors, and community partners Support annual budgeting, capital planning, and strategic business planning initiatives Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of hotel management experience , with at least 1-2 years in a General Manager or Assistant General Manager role Select-service or limited-service hotel experience preferred Marriott brand experience strongly preferred Proven success in driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and hotel financials Knowledge of hotel PMS, revenue strategies, and brand compliance standards Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred Preferred Skills Strong operational and financial acumen Team-building and staff development experience Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment Excellent guest recovery and conflict resolution skills Results-oriented mindset with attention to detail Familiarity with Marriott systems and processes
