Essential Job Functions:
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide clear direction to staffObserve performance and encourage improvementInterview, select, trains, supervises, evaluated, counsels, and administers disciplinary procedures for front office staffMonitor lobby traffic and makes staffing adjustments as requiredReviews VIP reservations and ensures proper handling of VIP's and groups, administers amenity orders, and resumes for incoming guestsMonitors special reservation requests handling and oversees rate changes on in-house guestsComputes daily payroll, schedules, and other reportsAnalyzes data and makes decisions based on prior experiences and knowledge of circumstances to ensure staffing levels are applicable to the occupancy of the hotelManages front office staff, resolves guest concerns, and implements resolution by using discretion and judgmentFrequently serves in role as Manager On DutyFields guest complaints, conducting a thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate resultsAnalyzes data and makes decisions based on prior experiences and knowledge of circumstances to ensure staffing levels are applicable to the occupancy of the hotelManages front office staff, resolves guest concerns, and implements resolution by using discretion and judgmentFrequently serves in role as Manager On DutyFields guest complaints, conducting a thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate resultsListen and extend assistance in order to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioningRemain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activityPlans and implements detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretionRegularly review Front Office S.A.L.T scores to maximize rooms' revenueWill require open availability on weekends, holidays, and night shifts due to operational needs.Facilitate departmental meetings
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbsStanding and moving about in the guest services and the building throughout the shiftPrimarily standing for majority of shiftQualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or its equivalentExperience:
Hotel experience requiredA minimum of 4 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related major.4 years experience as Director of Front Office or Front Office Manager or a combination of both experience and education.Additional language ability preferred.
