Job Description

Overview A family in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a World-class, seasoned private-service estate manager to handle their family properties. There is an extensive private estate/compound of approximately 20 acres. Generational family members live next door, creating an extended family compound. In addition to the family residences, they own vacation properties in other nearby areas and in Florida. This is a fully staffed home working with the family office. Many staff have been with the family for decades. Seeking someone looking for longevity and open to relocating. This is a live-out role, and the candidate would find their own housing nearby in St. Louis, MO. Ready to hire once the right candidate is found. Responsibilities Extremely collaborative and supportive working environment Function as a high-level problem solver across the family's ecosystem Working alongside a property manager who handles all exterior work, including landscaping, hardscape, structural/property systems, HVAC, maintenance, and exterior oversight. Household staff sometimes travels with the family (Trips can last approximately one week to 10 days or potentially longer.) Antique vehicle collection maintenance Take ownership of household operations from the walls inward Assess the current state of the residences before making major changes Develop and implement systems, processes, and SOPs Create and continually refine house manuals Establish consistent standards across multiple residences Manage household schedules and workflows Direct and manage existing housekeeping staff Evaluate existing staff and identify strengths/gaps Eventually help build out/elevate the household team Determine whether additional specialists are needed, including: Laundress. Fine garment/wardrobe specialists. Additional housekeeping/support staff Manage inventories across residences.
Establish systems for:
Cleaning supplies Household consumables Clothing Seasonal wardrobe rotation Handbags Furs/fine garments Collectibles Personal belongings Household supplies Eliminate unnecessary duplication and over-ordering across residences Know what the family owns and where it is located Develop thoughtful purchasing/replenishment systems Create cleaning schedules and quality-control standards Maintain Mrs.'s very high aesthetic and presentation standards Serve as a household "one-stop shop"/concierge for requests Coordinate with other members of the family-office ecosystem rather than operating independently in a silo Proactively recognize problems and solve them or bring in the appropriate team member Support travel and family events when needed Requirements Must be legal to work in the US Valid and clean driver's license Family-oriented Service-focused Candidate needs an exceptional aesthetic eye Ideally 5-10+ years of relevant UHNW private household experience Strong operational background Exceptional organization skills, described as mission critical Strong project-management capabilities Experienced with multiple residences Able to establish systems and processes without unnecessarily "reinventing the wheel" Understands how to assess what works before changing things Strong people-management skills Able to train/elevate household staff Excellent judgment and decision-making Salary and Benefits The family is open on an annual salary, based upon experience.
