Respond to all engineering service calls, giving priority to guest requests, and maintain hotel equipment in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner. Ensure a safe, resourceful, and well-maintained hotel environment.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner. Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms. Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration. Operate various equipment; maintain the domestic hot and cold-water systems and monitor various electrical switch gears to ensure proper operation. Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces as well as other assigned daily operations. Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order. Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain log to notify the next shift. Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities. Handle operation of the boiler and chiller and maintaining temperatures throughout the building. Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special courses in building maintenance and construction. Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests. Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lift/Push/Pull/Carry- up to 50
- 75 plus lbs. supplies, equipment and machinery. Bending
