Housekeeping Director, Intern (as needed), hourly Handyperson (as needed), and contractors (as needed) No relocation assistance or on-property housing will be provided We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Interim Manager for a 20-room property who will be excited to jump right in with the new owners as we undergo a transformation from historic motel to distinctive boutique property. Our ideal hire understands how to run a small motel and will take pride in being the face of an iconic property in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The position will be 3-6 months initially, and there could be opportunity for growth for the right person. This temporary position requires someone who is willing to learn and build upon an already strong foundation in hospitality, guest experience, and business operations. It's an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality management expertise while maintaining operational excellence during a transitional period. Duties include managing the following aspects of motel operations: Staff Experience Guest Experience, including Lobby Hospitality Business Operations Property Management Our ideal Interim Manager is: Warm enough to host. Savvy enough to answer questions and resolve guest complaints (verbal and online) successfully. Confident enough - and respectful enough - to lead other staff members. Articulate enough to communicate well with guests, staff, owners, and the community. Skilled enough to work with software, prepare reports, and help guests with Internet and TV concerns. Organized and self-directed enough to manage projects at the property. Scrappy enough to problem-solve. Resourceful enough to figure out how to make things happen.
