THIS PROPERTY
The SpringHill Suites Durham Chapel Hill is a 130-suite Marriott hotel ideally positioned between Durham and Chapel Hill near Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, Research Triangle Park, and major healthcare and business demand generators. The property underwent a refresh several years ago and is now preparing for a significant $3M renovation investment planned for next year. This creates an exciting opportunity for the next General Manager to help lead the hotel into its next chapter while building upon an already strong operational foundation. As one guest put it in May 2026, "I wouldn't change a thing! Comfy beds and room and clean! Breakfast was good and our kiddos loved the heated indoor pool and hot tub! As all roles like this, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations including guest satisfaction, financial performance, associate development, brand execution, and property leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all day-to-day hotel operations Drive guest satisfaction and service culture Manage budgeting, forecasting, and profitability Recruit, develop, and mentor associates Maintain Marriott brand and QA standards Partner with sales efforts to maximize occupancy and revenue Create accountability, consistency, and positive team culture Serve as a visible leader within the hotel and local community
IDEAL BACKGROUND
We are especially interested in leaders who bring: Joyful, highly collaborative style that engages others 4-5+ years of progressive hotel management experience Marriott or branded hotel experience is preferred Excellent operational and financial management skills Hands-on leadership style with strong guest focus Ability to lead through change and continuous improvement Long-term leadership aspirations within hospitality
