Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, equipment maintenance, and recurring property issues. Coordinate vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, renovations, capital improvements, and licensed work. Ensure compliance with applicable safety, fire, health, building, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe work environment. Serve as the primary maintenance resource for hotel leadership, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and outstanding issues. Build strong relationships with hotel teams by providing maintenance expertise, supporting staff training, and participating in property inspections and operational meetings. Qualifications Previous hotel, multifamily, commercial property, facilities, or building maintenance experience required Previous maintenance supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong general knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems Ability to troubleshoot and complete a wide variety of general repairs Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage maintenance needs across multiple properties Ability to prioritize urgent issues while maintaining preventive and routine maintenance schedules Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Strong communication and follow-through Ability to work collaboratively with hotel managers, vendors, contractors, and company leadership Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, work outdoors, and perform the physical duties associated with hotel maintenance Availability to respond to urgent or emergency maintenance situations outside normal business hours when necessary Job Requirements Maintain all hotel properties in a safe, functional, clean, and guest-ready condition while upholding company standards. Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and communicate proactively about issues affecting guests, employees, safety, or operations. Develop, manage, and consistently execute a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and costly repairs. Demonstrate strong ownership of maintenance issues by tracking projects and repairs through completion with minimal supervision. Conduct regular property inspections and proactively identify maintenance concerns before they become larger problems. Prioritize work effectively across multiple properties, balancing emergency repairs, guest-impacting issues, preventive maintenance, and ongoing projects. Maintain clear communication with property leadership regarding repair status, vendor activity, timelines, room outages, and significant maintenance concerns.
