You'll:
Serve as a leadership point of contact for Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Breakfast, and other departments. Help oversee daily hotel operations and keep departments communicating with one another. Provide management coverage, particularly on weekends. Help coordinate staffing and shift coverage when call-outs happen—because they will. Coach, train, and develop team members. Celebrate people when they succeed and have the harder conversations when expectations aren't being met. Handle guest concerns and have the ability to make reasonable decisions to make things right. Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and employee development. Monitor cleanliness, guest satisfaction, service standards, and overall property condition. Learn labor management, purchasing, budgeting, inventory, forecasting, and hotel financials. Assist with IHG brand standards, quality assurance, inspections, and property initiatives. Look for solutions instead of simply pointing out problems. Jump into the operation when the team genuinely needs help. And occasionally you'll deal with something that wasn't covered in any training manual. Welcome to hotels. Who We're Looking For Experience matters, but we're not going to pretend a résumé tells us everything about somebody. We're looking for someone who is: Dependable. Curious. Coachable. Comfortable making decisions. Willing to admit when they don't know something and then go learn it. Able to hold people accountable without tearing them down. Calm when the building gets chaotic. Willing to help rather than say, "That's not my department." Capable of laughing occasionally, because hospitality will provide you with plenty of material. Interested in becoming a better leader, not simply getting a better title. Hotel or hospitality experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience in Front Desk, Housekeeping, or hotel operations. Previous Assistant General Manager experience is not required. If you've demonstrated leadership potential and you're ready for the next step, we're willing to invest in helping you take it. Experience with IHG, Holiday Inn Express, HotelKey, or similar hotel systems is a plus, but we can teach systems. Character, effort, and how you treat people are considerably harder to teach. Schedule This is a full-time management position requiring flexibility based on hotel operations. Weekend availability is strongly preferred. One of the biggest purposes of this position is providing our departments with another reliable leadership presence throughout the week. Some evenings and holidays will also be necessary depending on occupancy and operational needs. Compensation $45,000- 55,000 annually, based on experience.
