They are responsible for managing a team of front desk agents and maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the hotel lobby. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers daily. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met. Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening with employees to create awareness of business objectives and communicate expectations, recognizes performance, and produces desired results. Understands the impact of department's operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed goals. Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff daily. Front office areas include Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard and Guest Services/Front Desk. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently (and in a team). Work Conditions & Physical Demands Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment. Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects. Strong collaboration skills - works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
