Job Description
As General Manager, you'll be responsible for effectively leading and managing all aspects of the hotel and for delivering results focused on driving sales and profitability, guest and associate satisfaction and ensuring brand standards are met. Understands the regulations affecting hotel operations, ensures the hotel is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority. Development, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational budgets for the hotel. Monitor and report variances against budget and control labor costs and other expenses. Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty. Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel's or owner's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain all inside and outside sales, including public relations within the community. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Guest Experience Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Respond to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Review guest feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP's, large groups and other key guests. Lead marketing efforts to up sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.
