Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Brand-New Hotel Opening WoodSpring Suites I 122 rooms We are excited to be opening a brand-new WoodSpring Suites and are looking for a motivated, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our opening leadership team! This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the beginning—helping build your team, establish the hotel culture, develop local business, and successfully open and operate a brand-new extended-stay hotel. What You'll Do Assist the General Manager with all aspects of daily hotel operations Help recruit, interview, train, and develop the opening hotel team Support and oversee front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and overall property operations Provide excellent guest service and assist with resolving guest concerns Ensure brand standards, cleanliness, safety, and property expectations are consistently maintained Assist with scheduling, payroll and labor management Monitor reservations, guest accounts, payments, and extended-stay accounts Assist with hotel sales activities, including prospecting for new business, following up on leads, making sales calls, developing local accounts, and building relationships with area businesses Help drive occupancy, revenue, and extended-stay business Conduct property inspections and ensure operational issues are addressed promptly Lead by example and be willing to step in wherever needed to support the hotel and team What We're Looking For Previous hotel/hospitality experience strongly preferred Previous supervisory or management experience preferred WoodSpring Suites, Choice Hotels, ChoiceADVANTAGE, or extended-stay experience is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities Sales-minded and comfortable developing relationships with local businesses Ability to train, coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable Dependable, professional, and hands-on Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as business needs require Why Join Us?
