Job Description

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing overnight hotel operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience, maintaining service and brand standards, and providing leadership and support to the Front Office and Night Audit teams. This role serves as the Manager on Duty overnight, addressing guest needs, resolving operational issues, and ensuring the hotel is secure and prepared for the following day.
HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
Oversee overnight hotel operations and serve as the Manager on Duty, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Supervise, support, and provide guidance to Night Auditors and overnight Front Office team members. Oversee Night Audit procedures, including daily financial reconciliation, reporting, and accuracy of hotel transactions. Respond to guest needs, concerns, and service recovery opportunities while maintaining exceptional service standards. Conduct overnight property walks, address operational concerns, and communicate important updates to the morning management team. Other duties as assigned.
KEY STRENGTHS FOR SUCCESS
Strong leadership and team management skills within a hotel or hospitality environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly with financial and operational responsibilities. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and resolve issues calmly under pressure. Flexibility and dependability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of experience in hotel Front Office, Night Audit, or a related hospitality role. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Night Audit experience preferred. Strong understanding of Front Office operations and hotel financial procedures. Ability to work overnight shifts independently and effectively.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework or certification in hospitality or a related field preferred.
