Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Hotel General Manager to lead our dynamic hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Duties Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance to ensure smooth functioning. Lead and supervise hospitality teams, providing guidance on customer service standards and operational procedures. Manage hospitality reservation systems and property management systems (PMS) to optimize room bookings and guest data accuracy. Implement and monitor hotel guest service standards to deliver memorable guest experiences that exceed expectations. Develop and manage hospitality operations budgets, controlling expenses while maximizing revenue through effective revenue management strategies. Coordinate human resources activities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling to maintain a motivated team. Handle financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, night audit processes, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain hotel safety protocols and ensure adherence to health regulations; conduct regular inspections of facilities. Utilize managerial communication skills to collaborate with staff at all levels and communicate company policies clearly. Requirements Proven supervising experience in the hospitality industry with a strong background in hotel management or related fields. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage hospitality teams effectively across multiple departments. Proficiency in managing hospitality reservation systems, property management systems (PMS), and multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette. Strong financial management skills including budgeting, revenue management, and controlling operational costs. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively. Knowledge of hotel guest service standards, front desk operations, night audit procedures, human resources practices, and hospitality industry best practices. Ability to communicate clearly with staff and guests alike; excellent managerial communication skills are essential. Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends as needed; experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
