General Manager — Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Clint, TX New Hotel Opening | Full-Time | On-Site About the Opportunity We're opening a brand-new Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clint, Texas, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the property from pre-opening through daily operations. This is a rare chance to build a team, shape the culture, and set the standard for guest service from day one. What You'll Do Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services Lead pre-opening efforts: hiring, training, and onboarding the full hotel team Manage budgets, labor costs, and P&L performance to meet ownership and brand financial goals Ensure full compliance with IHG brand standards for Holiday Inn Express & Suites Drive guest satisfaction scores and respond to guest feedback with a service-first mindset Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor department heads and staff Maintain quality and safety standards across the property Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and corporate accounts to drive occupancy Manage vendor relationships and property maintenance/capital projects Report regularly to ownership/management company on performance metrics What We're Looking For 3+ years of hotel management experience, GM experience preferred New hotel opening experience required — proven track record leading a property through pre-opening, staffing, and launch IHG brand experience required (Holiday Inn Express & Suites or similar IHG-family brand) Proficiency with HotelKey PMS required; experience with other hotel PMS systems a plus Strong financial acumen — budgeting, forecasting, P&L management Proven leadership skills with experience hiring and developing a team Excellent communication and guest-service skills Flexibility to work varied hours, including some evenings/weekends as needed, especially during pre-opening High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred What We Offer Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus potential Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Hotel travel discounts (IHG brand family) The opportunity to open and shape a brand-new property Location Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Clint, TX Chanakya Management is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
