Job Description

About Us:
We're not your standard hospitality company — and we don't want to be. At Dursh Hospitality , we manage our properties our own way , not by traditional industry standards. Our approach is proactive, people-focused, and deeply operational. Every team member — especially leadership — plays a vital, boots-on-the-ground role in ensuring daily excellence across every department. We're currently seeking a General Manager who not only understands this philosophy but thrives in it. If you're looking for a passive or corporate-style role, this isn't it.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead from the front: Be present in day-to-day operations. Walk the property. Support your team directly. This is not a desk job.
Department engagement:
Conduct daily walkthroughs and check-ins with all departments — Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Desk, F&B, etc. — to support, solve problems, and ensure high performance.
Dursh Hospitality standards:
Follow and enforce Dursh-specific protocols and procedures. We do things differently, and consistency with our approach is non-negotiable.
Marriott brand standards:
Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand expectations and maintain brand integrity across operations, service, and presentation.
Expense and cost control:
Monitor daily and monthly expenses , manage labor efficiency , and proactively reduce waste without compromising guest experience.
Payroll management:
Oversee payroll accuracy , scheduling, and labor optimization in line with property needs and budget goals.
Account development:
Seek and secure new accounts and partnerships to grow property revenue. Build relationships locally and regionally to keep the property booked and profitable.
Team leadership and accountability:
Set a tone of ownership and performance . Coach department heads, drive alignment, and hold the team accountable to deliver.
Problem solving:
Own the outcomes — from staffing and guest service to maintenance and emergencies — and lead with urgency and professionalism.
What We're Looking For:
Strong background in hospitality or property management, ideally in branded environments like Marriott. A leader who thrives in daily operational involvement and doesn't shy away from getting hands-on. Clear understanding of financial operations — including budgeting, payroll, cost controls, and revenue generation. Ability to enforce both Marriott brand standards and Dursh-specific management protocols . Skilled communicator who brings structure, consistency, and follow-through . Highly organized, self-driven, and obsessed with details . Someone who sees this not just as a job, but as owning the success of the property. This Role is
Not For You If:
You lead from behind a desk or rarely leave your office. You rely heavily on traditional industry playbooks. You're not comfortable enforcing high expectations or holding staff accountable. You're looking for a "maintenance mode" role instead of one where you build and drive growth. Why Join Dursh Hospitality? We don't manage properties by the book — we manage them by vision, presence, and performance. You'll be part of a growing hospitality group that values people who care deeply, show up daily, and take true pride in their work.
