Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on General Manager to lead our hotel team. We are looking for a strong leader who takes ownership of hotel operations, develops employees, delivers excellent guest service, and maintains Hilton brand standards while achieving financial and operational goals. The General Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the hotel and is expected to be actively involved in all departments. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast, Maintenance, and Guest Services Recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop hotel team members Maintain appropriate staffing levels while controlling labor costs and overtime Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, policies, and required training Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest concerns and Hilton Guest Assistance cases Review daily hotel performance, occupancy, ADR, revenue, labor, and operational reports Manage hotel expenses and operate within approved budgets Monitor payroll, purchasing, inventory, cash controls, and departmental expenses Maintain high standards for cleanliness, property condition, safety, and security Conduct regular guest room and public-area inspections Ensure preventative maintenance and life-safety requirements are completed and documented Work with sales and revenue management to maximize occupancy, ADR, group business, and overall hotel revenue Communicate hotel performance, staffing concerns, guest issues, and operational needs to Regional Management and Ownership Maintain accurate employee, training, disciplinary, and operational documentation Hold employees and department leaders accountable for performance and established standards Be available to assist the hotel when operational needs require management support Qualifications Previous hotel management experience General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience preferred Hilton or other major hotel-brand experience strongly preferred Strong leadership and employee-management skills Experience with hotel operations, budgeting, payroll, scheduling, and cost control Strong guest-service and problem-solving abilities Ability to analyze hotel performance and operational reports Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable holding employees accountable and addressing performance concerns Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel needs, including occasional weekends and holidays Working knowledge of hotel property-management systems and Microsoft Office What We Offer Full-time management position Paid vacation Hilton employee hotel discounts Professional development and growth opportunities Support from Regional Management Opportunity to lead and develop a hotel team Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on hotel leader who does not manage solely from the office.
