This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who can drive excellence in guest services, manage financial performance, and foster a positive environment for staff and guests alike. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hospitality management, multilingual communication skills, and proven experience supervising diverse teams. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, and implementing strategic initiatives to promote the hotel's growth and reputation. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments. Supervise hospitality teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences aligned with established hotel standards. Manage hospitality operations budgets, monitor revenue streams, control costs, and optimize profitability through effective revenue management strategies. Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to streamline booking processes and improve operational efficiency. Lead human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to build a motivated and skilled team. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring compliance with hotel guest service standards. Implement financial management practices including budgeting, forecasting, night audit procedures, and financial reporting to support sustainable growth. Foster a culture of leadership through managerial communication, team management, and motivating staff to achieve operational excellence. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while managing property maintenance schedules and overseeing emergency procedures. Enhance guest relations by promoting a welcoming environment using multilingual or bilingual communication skills when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles including revenue management, financial operations, and guest services. Experience working with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, and multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette. Demonstrated ability to oversee daily hotel operations effectively while managing budgets and human resources. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in fast-paced environments such as resorts or hotels with extensive guest interactions. Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve an international clientele effectively. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with a customer-centric approach to service delivery. Prior experience in night audit procedures or resort environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
