At Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, we create exceptional experiences for our guests through teamwork, service excellence, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will lead the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, ensuring guest rooms and public spaces consistently exceed cleanliness and quality expectations. You will play a key role in developing team members, driving operational efficiency, and creating a positive workplace culture. In this role, you will: Lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations to ensure quality standards are consistently met Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing training, support, and performance feedback Assist with staff scheduling, labor management, and payroll administration Support department leadership by providing coverage for the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Laundry Supervisor as needed Partner with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience across the property Monitor inventory, supplies, and departmental resources to support efficient operations Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions Continuously identify opportunities to improve service standards, workflows, and team performance Required Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire and possess a valid driver's license Previous housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, lodge, resort, or hospitality environment Proven ability to inspire, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced setting Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards Positive, professional attitude with a hands-on leadership approach Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail Flexible, dependable, and adaptable to changing operational needs Ability to bend, lift, climb stairs, and safely lift up to 35 pounds
