The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet hotel standards. This role helps lead the housekeeping team, manages staffing and training, coordinates with other departments, responds to guest needs, and ensures efficient, high-quality service throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Housekeeper with daily housekeeping operations, including room inspections, staffing, productivity, and service quality. Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, service areas, and back-of-house spaces. Lead, coach, and support housekeeping team members and supervisors. Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure hotel standards are met. Monitor room priorities, VIP arrivals, special requests, and room readiness. Work closely with the Front Office to ensure rooms are available for arriving guests and to resolve guest concerns. Coordinate with Engineering to address maintenance issues and room repairs. Assist with scheduling, payroll review, staffing, and productivity tracking. Support employee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development. Ensure team members follow cleaning, safety, equipment, and guest privacy procedures. Review guest feedback and operational results to identify improvement opportunities. Help manage housekeeping inventory, supplies, linens, uniforms, and equipment. Support laundry operations, supply ordering, and cost control efforts. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, sanitation requirements, and brand standards. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns. Maintain effective communication with all hotel departments. Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment. Serve as the department leader when the Executive Housekeeper is unavailable. Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.
