Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and oversee the cleaning operations within our facility. In this energetic role, you will ensure that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Your leadership will motivate a team of cleaning staff, coordinate daily tasks, and uphold our commitment to providing a pristine environment for both staff and visitors. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across all designated areas, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational readiness. Enforce safety procedures related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of PPE to protect staff from injury. Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Address any guest or staff concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards. Demonstrated ability to supervise a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience with cleaning equipment, supplies management, and maintaining hygiene standards. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inspecting work quality. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and manual cleaning duties. Excellent communication skills to lead team members and coordinate with other departments.
