What this role is all about The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet the hotel's cleanliness, presentation, safety, and quality standards before being released for occupancy. This is a Local 2 union position and includes union benefits in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities Inspect cleaned guest rooms, vacant rooms, and assigned areas for cleanliness, condition, and compliance with hotel standards. Ensure rooms are properly stocked, maintained, and ready for guest arrival. Document inspection results and promptly communicate deficiencies or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team members. Follow up to ensure identified issues are corrected before rooms are released. Assign and coordinate daily work based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, staffing, and operational priorities. Provide direction, coaching, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants. Monitor productivity and ensure assigned rooms are completed within established timeframes. Coordinate closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other departments regarding room status and guest requests. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service requests. Maintain accurate room-status information in the hotel's systems. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Assist with housekeeping operations and perform other related duties as business needs require. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment is required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to inspect rooms efficiently and identify cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation concerns. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to lead, coach, and work effectively with a diverse team. Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with hotel systems are preferred. Schedule This is a five-day-per-week position. The regular schedule includes Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The remaining two workdays will be scheduled based on business and operational needs. Candidates must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required. Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
