One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Supervisor of Environmental Services, you will oversee the daily operations of the environmental services team, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Every day you will manage and mentor EVS staff, assign tasks, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with cleaning protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and thorough knowledge of environmental services best practices, crucial for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting a healthy facility. Selects, trains and evaluates staff; Establishes and maintains department staffing and schedules, ensuring appropriate number of qualified/competent staff are available while maintaining cost effective staffing mixes and patterns; Ensures staff maintain facility with a high level of cleanliness and that department guidelines are followed Monitors bed discharge cleaning needs and ensures that discharge beds are cleaned in a timely manner and with a high degree of quality; Monitors daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance to ensure that all equipment is maintained in an appropriate working condition Maintains department quality improvement program and oversees the quality of service delivered ensuring that units are survey ready at all times Supervises the departmental inventory and allocation of resources as appropriate and ensures these follow hospital guidelines Job Requirements Required Associate's Degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience Minimum three (3) years environmental services experience
