Job Description

Overview A wonderful family in the mountains of Colorado are seeking a highly experienced, service-minded full-time Executive Housekeeper to oversee the operations and housekeeping team across multiple residences. This is a leadership role responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, wardrobe care, and home readiness. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and capable of managing teams, systems, and schedules across an active and dynamic household. Position reports to the Estate Manager and works closely with Principals, assistants, and other team members.
Schedule:
40-hour work weeks with potential overtime. The Executive Housekeeper will work alongside the team for the first 6-12 months, mirroring their schedules. They have two shifts, 9am
  • 5pm & 11am
  • 7pm. Estimated annual travel would range between 2
  • 6 weeks, depending on the family's summer plans.
Currently all travel is domestic but international travel will be required after 2028. Responsibilities Supervise, train, and manage a team of housekeepers across multiple properties; provide ongoing feedback and performance management. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family, team and guests. Lead by example with a calm, discreet and professional demeanor. Work closely with principal on travel preparation and day to day organization Some House Manager duties will be required Oversee housekeeping operations and schedules across all family residences. Perform daily inspections and monitor adherence to established household protocols. Develop and perform detailed seasonal deep-cleans to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standard. Occasional travel to other properties for 2-4 weeks at a time. Ensure seamless transitions between properties and readiness for principal arrivals. Run errands if needed. Create and maintain organized inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, household goods, and pantry/perishables in collaboration with Estate Manager, chef and/or assistants and replenish supplies as needed. Provide expert laundry and wardrobe care, including washing laundry, hand washing special items, and ironing garments and bedding. Packing/unpacking for travel and seasonal wardrobe rotation. Collaborate with Estate Manager and team members to create and maintain detailed closet inventories for Principals and children. Identify, tag, and track purchases and communicate to Estate Manager and assistants to ensure visibility and organization. Work with the team to prepare guest rooms, ensuring exceptional presentation and amenities. Partner with the Estate Manager, Personal/Executive Assistants, Chef, and other household team members to support daily operations and special projects. Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes in handling evolving priorities. Qualifications Long-standing relationships with each prior employer Requirements At least 5-7 years of proven experience in a large primary residence or luxury hospitality Maintain utmost discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of service. Highly professional, discreet, and polished with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Physically capable of handling tasks such as standing, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in homes with children and animals Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual Spanish preferred. Valid passport; ability to travel on short notice. Domestic and international travel may be required. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Salary and Benefits Offering $65
  • 72/hr DOE (overtime is common, so a well-qualified candidate would make in excess of $150,000 a year) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans.
401K is available after the first year. Complimentary housing, utilities included, will be provided for the first six months of employment. The apartment is located in the area of Basalt, CO. It is an approximate 25-minute drive to Aspen, CO. Relocation assistance
