Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead and oversee the cleanliness and sanitation standards across our hospitality facility. This energetic role involves managing a dedicated team of housekeeping staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through spotless environments, and maintaining the highest levels of safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel housekeeping management experience, and a passion for creating welcoming, pristine spaces that reflect our commitment to excellence. As a Housekeeping Manager, you will play a vital role in upholding our reputation for outstanding service and cleanliness. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and quality control inspections to ensure all areas meet established standards. Supervise cleaning activities such as floor care, vacuuming, dusting, sanitation of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Train and motivate housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, chemical handling, and emergency protocols aligned with hotel policies. Ensure compliance with safety data sheets (SDS), hotel emergency procedures, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper manual handling practices are followed during heavy lifting or equipment use. Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, enforce standards for customer service, and address any deficiencies promptly. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects or event preparations while maintaining high standards of hospitality. Experience Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within the hospitality industry. Extensive knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and janitorial equipment operation. Familiarity with chemical agent handling, chemical handling safety protocols, and use of cleaning chemicals in compliance with SDS guidelines. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring adherence to hotel emergency procedures and safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests alike. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and operating cleaning machinery. Previous experience in hotel environment preferred but not mandatory; a passion for hospitality excellence is essential.
