Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Head of Housekeeping to lead our cleaning operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across our hospitality facility. This pivotal role combines hands-on cleaning responsibilities with leadership duties, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences through meticulous attention to detail, safety, and efficiency. As the face of cleanliness in our establishment, you will foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and hospitality excellence. Responsibilities Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Lead, motivate, and supervise housekeeping staff, providing training on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations. Coordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction. Perform detailed cleaning tasks including floor care, vacuuming, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning as needed. Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling. Implement hotel housekeeping management protocols aligned with sanitation standards and hotel emergency procedures. Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleaning quality, safety compliance, and adherence to health regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing waste. Promote a culture of safety by training staff on manual handling, heavy lifting techniques, and proper use of janitorial tools. Address guest inquiries or concerns related to cleanliness promptly and professionally to enhance customer service experience. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, chemical handling, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and janitorial equipment maintenance. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team effectively. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or related software is preferred. Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and manual cleaning activities.
