Job Description
Director of Environmental Services About the Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Environmental Services to oversee facility maintenance, life safety systems, and environmental operations. This role provides leadership to the maintenance team, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, CMS, NFPA, and fire safety standards Oversee building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarms, sprinklers, and mechanical equipment Manage maintenance budgets and capital projects while identifying cost‑effective improvements Conduct inspections of life safety systems and manage property upkeep, including landscaping and waste removal Maintain inventory control of parts, tools, and maintenance supplies Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring required licenses and insurance are current Develop, implement, and improve maintenance processes and infrastructure reliability What We're Looking For Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Plant Operations, or Maintenance within a healthcare setting Strong technical knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and facility operations Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and healthcare regulatory requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience creating preventive maintenance schedules Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills Why You'll Love Working With Us Competitive compensation and benefits Supportive and team‑oriented work environment Training and development opportunities Clear opportunities for career growth Mission‑driven culture focused on safety, quality, and resident well‑being Who We Are We provide skilled nursing and rehabilitation services designed around individual needs.
