Position Summary As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring our vacation rental properties are guest-ready and meet Scenic Stays' high standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our housekeeping vendors and operations team to verify that every property is properly prepared before guest arrival while helping maintain the exceptional quality our guests expect. Responsibilities Inspect vacation rental units after cleaning to ensure they meet company cleanliness and quality standards. Verify the proper placement of linens, towels, toiletries, amenities, and guest supplies. Identify and report maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, or inventory shortages. Provide constructive feedback to housekeeping teams when cleaning standards are not met. Ensure units are guest-ready prior to scheduled check-in times. Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Operations regarding inspection results, delays, or special requests. Assist with training and coaching housekeeping team members on company cleaning standards and expectations. Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation for quality assurance. Occasionally assist with light cleaning duties during peak occupancy periods or staffing shortages. Perform periodic inventory checks of guest supplies and report replenishment needs. Deliver supplies to properties as needed to ensure units remain guest-ready. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience required; inspection or supervisory experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, or inspection software (training provided). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel between properties may be required). Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
