Director of Housekeeping This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in making a hotel exceptional — and wants to be part of the work that makes it happen. We're looking for a hands-on Director of Housekeeping to lead our Housekeeping, Laundry, and Houseperson teams at an in beautiful Florida. You'll set the standard, develop your team, solve problems, and take ownership of an exceptional guest experience. You'll lead from alongside your team, teach by example, and ensure every detail reflects the level of service and presentation our guests expect. What You'll Do Lead and personally perform hands-on cleaning, inspection, and turnover work alongside your team Train new hires and coach existing staff through real, hands-on demonstration Hold housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson staff accountable to performance, safety, and brand standards, using fair and consistent progressive discipline Respond directly to guests — addressing requests, resolving concerns, and following up to make sure they're truly satisfied Monitor guest reviews and feedback related to cleanliness and service, and take meaningful action to close gaps Lead regular department meetings and contribute to broader hotel team meetings Manage inventory, supplies, cleaning equipment, and safety equipment (PPE, chemicals, storage areas), keeping everything organized, safe, and properly stocked Source, bid, and price out department purchases to get the best value for the property Track and manage room turnover times and team productivity, adjusting staffing and workflow to hit targets Report and track work orders using our property management and maintenance software Follow structured, documented processes and timelines for inspections, reporting, and daily operations Use company planning tools to set and achieve departmental goals Plan staffing and priorities for high-volume group check-out and turnover days Conduct daily walk-throughs and room inspections, addressing deficiencies immediately Partner closely with the General Manager on staffing needs and daily priorities Ensure compliance with brand, safety, and sanitation standards, including required certifications Remain reasonably available for urgent property or staff matters outside scheduled hours, consistent with a 24/7 operation Qualifications Experience as a manager, housekeeping supervisor, Director of Housekeeping, or similar role 2-3 years of experience as a housekeeper, room attendant, custodian, or similar Valid driver's license Strong physical stamina for hands-on cleaning, lifting, and repetitive labor Brand-required Director of Housekeeping certification (or willingness to complete it shortly after hire) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Comfortable working with inventory and basic financial information Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed Why Join Us Lead housekeeping for a trusted, respected global brand Competitive compensation Real investment in your growth as a leader A team-oriented culture where your work is genuinely seen PTO Employee discounts on hotel stays
