Housekeeping Manager La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando I-Drive/Convention Center Orlando, FL | Full-Time | $50,000 per year La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando I-Drive/Convention Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations and ensure exceptional cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. We are looking for a strong hospitality leader who knows how to lead from the floor, motivate a team, manage labor effectively, inspect rooms to brand standards, and successfully navigate high-occupancy operations. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, detail-oriented, and brings at least 1-2 years of hotel housekeeping management experience . Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. Supervise, coach, train, and motivate housekeeping and laundry team members. Prepare daily housekeeping boards, room assignments, and staff schedules based on occupancy and business needs. Manage departmental labor and staffing levels while maintaining service and cleanliness standards. Conduct detailed guest room and public-area inspections to ensure hotel and brand standards are consistently met. Coordinate room turnover during high-occupancy and sold-out periods. Oversee deep-cleaning programs and preventive maintenance reporting. Manage linen, terry, housekeeping supplies, and inventory levels. Oversee laundry operations and established lost-and-found procedures. Monitor out-of-order and out-of-service rooms and coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance to ensure timely resolution. Partner with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure rooms are clean, inspected, and available for arriving guests. Assist with the coordination of renovation, maintenance, and special cleaning projects. Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action when appropriate. Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture. Communicate department updates effectively through shift handovers, meetings, email, and other established communication channels. Respond professionally and promptly to housekeeping-related guest concerns. Perform other duties as assigned based on hotel operational needs. Must-Have Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of housekeeping management or supervisory experience in a hotel environment. Bilingual communication skills. Strong knowledge of hotel guest room cleaning and inspection standards. Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Experience with employee scheduling, labor management, and daily room assignments. Ability to effectively manage housekeeping operations during high occupancy and sold-out nights. Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments. Must be dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Must have the flexibility to work based on hotel business needs, including weekends and holidays . Preferred Qualifications Experience with MOP Housekeeping System is a plus. Experience with SynXis PMS is a plus. Previous experience managing hotel laundry operations, linen inventory, and preventive/deep-cleaning programs is strongly preferred.
