Job Summary A private family in Palm Beach is seeking a polished, experienced, and detail-oriented Housekeeper for a full-time, year-round position in their private residence. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who understands the standards of a high-end private household and takes pride in maintaining a beautifully kept, organized, and well-presented home. The residence has five bedrooms and is supported by an existing household team, including a private chef, an outdoor/grounds person, and a current housekeeper. The selected candidate will work under the guidance and supervision of the current housekeeper, who is already familiar with the principals' preferences, routines, and household standards. The family travels frequently. During the summer months, they are typically not in residence, though one of the principals may come down for a few days at a time. During these quieter periods, the housekeeper will focus on deep cleaning, detailed organization, and seasonal household maintenance. The family may also ask the candidate to travel with them to the Hamptons for approximately two weeks during the summer. Key Responsibilities Perform daily housekeeping throughout the residence Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and common spaces to a high standard Handle laundry, linens, ironing, and general wardrobe care Keep closets, cabinets, storage areas, and household spaces organized Work closely with the current housekeeper and follow the established household routines Take direction from the principals Coordinate respectfully with other household staff, including the private chef and outdoor/grounds staff Assist with preparing the home before and after the principals' arrivals and departures Maintain the home in a guest-ready condition at all times Perform deep cleaning during periods when the family is traveling, including: Cleaning cabinets and drawers Changing and organizing sheets and linens Moving light furniture when needed to clean thoroughly Deep cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas Organizing storage and household items Support the household during occasional visits from the principals' two daughters, who do not live in the residence but visit from time to time Maintain discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times Cooking Flexibility The household has a private chef. However, when the chef is not working, the family would like to know if the candidate is comfortable preparing simple meals if needed. This is not the primary responsibility of the position, but flexibility in this area is preferred.
