Job Overview This position of Environmental Service Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient supervision of the Janitorial, Housekeeping and Laundry Services provided to Northview Community and the adherence to all appropriate guidelines as set under the 10D-38 and Federal guidelines for an Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled. This position reports directly to the Administrator. The following responsibilities are specific to the position of Environmental Service Manager. 1. The hiring, evaluating and disciplining of all janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry staff. 2. Terminations will only be made with the approval of the Administrator. 3. The scheduling of all staff for appropriate shifts. 4. Providing staff with relief. 5. Ensuring that appropriate cleaning supplies are available. 6. Compliance with all infection control policies. 7. Ensuring that all bathrooms are disinfected and cleaned daily. 8. Supervising the cleaning of all residential buildings and the equipment therein. 9. Reporting to the Administrator any repairs that need to be made of urgent need. 10. Ensuring that waste is discarded in the appropriate manner. 11. Making sure the kitchen and dining area are cleaned in an appropriate manner, and that refused containers are cleaned on a regular schedule. 12. Ensure all ventilation vents, windows and light fixtures are cleaned on regular schedule. 13. Ensure all laundry personnel are in-serviced on proper use of equipment. 14. Make sure laundry is delivered in an appropriately covered container to the residential buildings. 15. Ensure the clothes are being washed with the proper amount of detergent and bleach. 16. Report any ruined or torn clothes to the staff social worker. 17. Serves as a key member on the disaster and safety meetings. Education & Training 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Vocational training in hospitality for Housekeeping, Laundry and Janitorial. 3. 2 years of supervisory experience. Skills 1. Strong organizational skills, attention to details, inventory and quality control. 2. Ability to motivate and lead, train new employees and help to maintain a positive environment. 3. Provide inventory update each week to appropriate Admin Staff for ordering purposes. 4. Coordinate monthly meetings as needed with all department staff. 5. Manage staff schedule in each department. 6. Strong communication, writing and computer skills.

Pay:
$21.50 - $24.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
